Abstract A refrigerator catalytic freshness-keeping block is a bonded block-like material which is made up by adding active carbon matrix of catalyst through the process of heating, thawing and cooling, and on matrix surface, the fabric layer with antibacterial agent is added. The main composition of said invention includes polyethylene, manganese oxide, palladium, cupric oxide, silicon dioxide and active carbon. The catalyst components in the freshness-keeping block can adsorb olifiant gas in fruit-vegetable chamber of refrigerator greatly, then the adsorbed olifiant gas can produce oxidation reaction with oxygen gas and decomposed into water and carbon dioxide. Said freshness-keeping block is packaged with non-woven fabric with antibacterial agent, and said antibacterial agent can be slowly released so as to prolong freshness-keeping period.
