Abstract A composite hydrogen-storing electrode material, that is, the composition of hydrogen-storing alloy and nm-class carbon tubes or carbon fibres is disclosed, which is prepared by high-temp sinter or mechanical process or chemical process. The weight percentage of hydrogen-storing alloy is 1-99. Said hydrogen-storing alloy is a binary or multi-element alloy containing one or more of rare-early Ni series AB5 type, Zr-base or Ti-base or rare-earth Ni-base Laves phase series AB2 type, Ti-Ni series AB type, Mg-base alloy or amorphous alloy. Its advantages are stable performance and wide application in Ni-H battery and high iron/oxide battery.
