AbstractProvided is a manufacturing method of ferrite magnetic powder, of which composition and grain size are uniform and fine, thereby providing excellent magnetic properties. The manufacturing method includes spraying mixed solution in which chloride of iron and chloride of strontium are dissolved, under a heating atmosphere. The mixed solution to be sprayed contains FeCl2 of at least 25% and at most 35% and SrCl2 of at least 2.4% and at most 4.9%. The powder particles formed by spraying have a crystal structure of magnetoplumbite type hexagonal system whose basic composition is expressed by SrO.nFe2O3 (n is 5.0 or more and 6.5 or less), and exhibit superior magnetic characteristics.
