Abstract The present invention is the method of regenerating hydrogenation cracking catalyst, especially that containing molecular sieve component. The catalyst is first reduced through reacting with active metal to make sulfur converted into H2S to escape, and then oxidized to eliminate coke. The catalyst regeneration of the two steps can avoid producing sulfuric acid resulting in the collapse of acid component, such as molecular sieve, and is favorable to high catalyst activity.
