Abstract The present invention adopts ultrasonic micro emulsion method to coat the surface of nanometer zinc oxide or magnesia-doped nanometer zinc oxide with non-ionic surfactant,a nd modify it to obtain the invented UV-ray screening and absorbing material with broadened screening/absorbing range, high thermal stability and chemical stability and good compatibility with other various base materials. It is colourless, non-toxic,odourless and solvent resistant, can be used in the field of cosmetics, and possesses extensive application range.
