Abstract A powder metallurgical technology for making high-density air valve seat includes preparing pre-alloyed powder containing compound carbon by water atomizing method, pressing, sintering to obtain blank, immersing in alcohol solution of graphite, heating, loading in mould heated to 200-300 deg.C, and hot pressing in austenite plus cementite tissue state. Its advantages include high density up to 7.5g/sq.cm or more, high hardness up to HRC 30 or more and high antiwear, refractory and anti-impact performance. It is suitable for engine of car.
