Abstract By using tetraoxethyl silicane as material and through two-step reaction, including the first step of partially hydrolyzing tetraoxethyl silicane into viscous liquid polyoxethyl silicane and the second step of emulsifying polyoxethyl silicane in ethanol or water and adding volatile primary, secondary or tertiary amine catalyst to initiate the dewatering polycondensation of polyoxethyl silicane and pore creating agent cyclopentane, cyclohexane or neptamethylene to produce silica gel with certain pore structure. The process of the present invention can prepare silica gel with high purity, homogeneous balling and smooth surface.
