Abstract A cerium-extracting process by using oxidation with hydrogen peroxide is characterized by that it uses hydrogen peroxide as oxidant to extract cerium from low-neodymium rare earth chloride solution, and its obtained products are 95% cerium oxide and lanthanum-rich rare earth oxide, and its technological path includes the following steps: preparing raw material solution, oxidation and dissolving, solid-liquid separation, acid-pickling and purifying solid portion, neutralizing and water-washing, filtering and ignition to obtain cerium oxide, and making its solution portion undergo the process of carbon-amine precipitation, filtering and ignition to obtain lanthanum-rich rare earth oxide. Said cerium oxide product is mainly used as clarifier, decolourant and additive in glass industry.
