Abstract A process for preparing the metal-based composition reinforced by in-situ alloying and resultant reaction particles features that the ceramic particles as reinforcing phase are generated by in-situ reaction while the alloyed elements are generated by in-situ reaction by casting or sintering of powder metallurgy. Said process can be used to prepare particles reinforced compositions using Al-, Cu-, Zn-, Ti-, Fe-, or Ni-alloy as base.
