Abstract The present method of high-strength polyurethane water dispersion includes the following steps: prepolymerization of aliphatic or aromatic diisocyanate with polyester or polyether dihydric alcohol at 40-90 deg.C in a mole ratio of 1.5-2.1:1 for 1-6hr., after prepolymerization adding vinyl monomer whose added quantity is 20-80% of total weight of said polymer as diluting agent, and adding low-molecular dihydric alcohol or diamine chain extender in a 0.5-0.9:1 mole ratio of it and residuel isocyanic acid radical to make chain extending reaction for 1-4 hr, after the chair-extending reaction cooling system temp. to 28-35 deg.C, and adding colloid stabilizing agent whose added quantity is 2-8 % of total weight of said polymer, then making water dispersion in the presence of surfactant whose added quantity is 0.5-3% of total weight of said polymer. After the emulsion is stabilized vinyl monomer polymerization is effected by conventional process.
