Abstract The production method of glass microsphere is characterized by that said method includes the following steps: using cullet whose refractive index is 1.5-1.55 to make glass microsphere, cleaning said cullet with methyl alcohol, breaking and crushing said glass microsphere to obtain powder with 16-500 meshes, then uniformly adding the powder material onto the spherulization flame, the pressure of natural gas is 0.08-0.15MPa, and adding cyclone with 50-100MPa at the outlet of natural gas nozzle to make the glass powder spherulitize in the high-speed rotational raised spherulization flame to obtain glass microspheres. According to the application of said glass microsphere the above-mentioned material can be screened to obtain the invented product with different meshes. Its spherulization rate is high, can be up to above 90%, and its refractive index can be up to 1.5-1.55. Said product is transparent, colour-less, and has no clear air bubble or impurity.
