Abstract The present invention aims at determining oil and gas reserves accurately by means of the quantitative analysis of oil generating and bearing rock. The device consists of pyrolysis furnace, detector, isolator, three-way valve, six-way valves, heavy hydrocarbon traps, light hydrocarbon traps, separating and detecting systems, and solenoid valve. The present invention can perform both qualitative and quantitative analysis of the components in oil generating and bearing rock so as to determine its oil and gas content. Being stable and reliable, the device of the present invention may be used widely in petroleum, chemical, geoexploration and other dapartments.
