Abstract A surface metallurgy process includes such steps as mixing surface alloy powder with organic adhesive to obtain paint, coating it on the cleaned surface of iron or steel workpiece, baking, putting it in the melting chamber of a special high-temp alloying furnace, vacuumizing, and electrically heating. Said special alloying furnace is composed of main body, bottom, frame, top cover, vacuum system and electrodes.
