Abstract A degasser for catalyst and its method for degassing the gas carried by the catalyst are characterized by that: a cylindrical dagasser for catalyst mainly contains degassing tules on the longitudinal axis and horizontal tubes connected with the terminal ends of degassing tubes, and along the vertecal direction, staggered arranged inner annular baffles and outer annular baffles; the catalyst enters the degasser from its upper portion to contact the steam from the annular steam tube with reverse and staggering flows, and the degassed catalyst leaves the degasser from its bottom; and the deaerated gas and excessive steam are discharged from the degasser top via the degassing tubes.
