Abstract A method for catalysis and etherification of liht hydrocarbon containing C5-C7 isoalkene includes light hydrocarbon raw material and alcohol in contact with etherified catalyst under 20-95 deg.C and 1.0-4.0 MPa according to the condition of the mole ratio of alcohol to isoalkene being 1.0-1.2:1; among them, the composition of the etherified catalyst includes 60-80 wt.% of beta zeolite, 10-30 wt.% of inorganic oxide and 1.0-10.0 wt.% of fluorine. The said method is suitable for deep etherification of FCC light gasoline and can raise the actane number and increase the oxygen content of gasoline component.
