Abstract When a cleaner is carried to the rear end side, a protrusion on the rear end side is inserted between the light emitting element and light receiving element of a photointerrupter and the lower end part of the protrusion sinks in a recess on the light emitting element side. The protrusion is compressed and the lower surface thereof slides while pressing the cover of the light emitting element with a reasonable pressure to wipe off dirt, e.g. dust, adhering to or deposited on the cover of the light emitting element.
