Abstract The present invention relates to a catalyst capable of eliminating sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide from mixed gas simultaneously. It is a compound oxide formed from titanium dioxide and tin dioxide. It possesses rutile structure, and is made up by adopting coprecipitation method. In the presence of said catalyst the CO can be used as reduction agent, the sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide can be converted into S and N2. Under the condition of laboratory said catalyst can be used for above 30 hr. its activity is not reduced.
