Abstract A computerized method for dispensing Chinese patent medicine to ensure constant contents of components is based on the principle that the concentration difference of mixture is used to reach refined content by mingling. A series kinds of mingled liquid for single or multiple components, which have big differences in relative contents between components, are prepared for making the excess components conform with standard contents. A linear plan is used to create mathematical model to find the minimal consumption for mingling. An instrument for measuring the contents of components input the digital signals to control computer containing D/A conversion software. After calculation, the instructions for controlling the consumptions of mingling are output.
