Abstract A handle terminal equipment, in which a recessed bent portion from the bottom portion of a display portion to a microphone portion is formed in the surface of a cover of a portable telephone. A cross-directional input switch knob is projected from the bottom surface of the recessed bent portion. Even when the portable telephone is put directing its surface downward, the cross-directional input switch knob is constituted so that the surface of the portable telephone does not abut to the surface of a table.
