Abstract The present invention relates to crop breeding technology to used dwarf and abortive wheat as colony improving tool. One simple but practical recurrent selection method is proposed and improved colony of dwarf and abortive wheat is set according to the principle and method of recurrent selection and the features of dwarf and abortive wheat. In the improved colony, the characteristics of loading resistance, disease resistance, yield, quality, etc. are raised greatly and the probability of breeding excellent variety is increased greatly. The technological features of recurrent selection includes the constitution of base colony, the introduction of external germplasm, the culling of breeding plant and the harvest of sterile plant.
