Abstract Styrene and gasoline are first mixed into solvent, and foamed polystyrene is dissolved in it to form solution. The solution may be produced into commonly used polystyrene through direct heating to volatilize solvent or into shock resisting polystyrene through adding butadienestyrene latex or rubber into the solution before heating to volatilize solvent. The simple and practical process can eliminate the environmental pollution caused by waste foamed polystyrene while producing useful material.
