Abstract The present invention relates to a prepn. method of ferrocenyl formoyl compound. The said method is to put dicyclopentadienyl iron, or its derivative, organic alkali and organic solvent in a reaction bottle, stir under -30 to + 60 deg.C and the protection of inert gas, add solid phosgene, sitr 8-14 hrs, suction-filter, evaporate filtrate to dry, use organic solvent to dissolve residue, concentrate the filtrate, stand still under room temp. to obtain the crystal product. The ferrocenyl formoyl compound prepared by the invented method is high in yield, simple in operation, convenient in post-treatment, and no black impurity.
