Abstract A process for preparing oxazoline compound easy for chemical transformation from alpha-amino acids such as lactamic acid includes preparing the compound with structural formula (4), preparing the oxazoline compound (3) by generating internal ring with Pd compound catalyst, oxidizing the ethyl of said oxazoline compound with RuCl3 and NaIO4 to obtain beta-amino-alpha-hydroxy acid, and further synthesizing the oxazoline compound (1) easy for chemical transform, or introducing hydroxyl to ethyl terminal of the oxazoline (3) with 9-borodicyclo[3,3,1] nonane, oxidizing the terminal hydroxyl with RuCl3 and NaIO4 to obtain gamma-amino-beta-hydroxy acid, and synthesizing the oxazoline (2) easy for chemical transformation.
