Abstract Spirulina has protein content as high as 50-70 %, reasonable amino acid proportion and rather high contents of spirulina polysaccharide, vitamins and trace elements. The spirulina powder produced by using spray drying process of prior art results in high temperature damage of the activity and effective components. The present invention provides one vacuum freezing and sublimating drying process so as to maintain the activity and effective components of spirulina. The spirulina powder as one kind of health product has high nutrient component content, especially protein content up to 65 %, and powerful activity.
