Abstract The present invention relates to the extraction process of rare earth mineral. Ore pulp after stirring lixiviation is backflashed to separate mother liquor and bottom stream, and mother liquor stream to liquid pond for impurity eliminating precipitation, the bottom stream is solidified in tail ore bank before backfilling to soil, the leachate after impurity eliminating precipitation returns to lixiviation for reuse, and the precipitate is roasted to obtain rare earth oxide. The present invention has high yield, low cost, short lixiviation period and zero discharge, and is especially suitable for ore incapable of being in-situ lixiviated.
