Abstract A technique for cultivating southern sugarcane in north includes breeding, planting, applying fertilizer, irrigating and preventing and eliminating pests and diseases. It features that the sugarcane variety "Xinfeng 888" or "Baiyu" is chosen to be immersed and germinated in october, then bred in greenhouse, and finally transplanted in plastic hot shed in March or April of next year. Its advantages include high yield (1300-1500 Kg/666 sq.m) and high sugar content up to 14.8%.
